Coaching for the Executive
Corporations often opine their most valuable asset is their people! Companies that subscribe to this view are willing to make investments in their key people to help them sharpen their skills to become the leaders and managers the business needs to achieve its objectives.
Leaders are expected to communicate the corporate vision, foster the desired corporate culture, inspire the organization to achieve its goals, and develop talent. Managers are expected to organize the work of the organization to deliver on its promise to customers in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner.
Leaders and managers aren’t necessarily interchangeable but every organization needs capable people filling both roles.
There are multiple training programs for leadership and management. Many provide great material and a foundation for individual growth. However as with most training programs participants are often pulled back into the day-to-day aspects of running the business and the impact of attendance at the program is soon lost.
Executive Coaching is intended to assist leaders and managers in continuing their development through a thought-provoking and creative process that enables them to maximize their personal and professional potential. Helping people create and implement their personal development plans should be the outcome of any coaching process. This is typically done in one-to-one live or virtual sessions spread out over six to twelve months ranging from one to two hours per session. Challenges and weaknesses are confidentially explored. These can be uncovered using feedback from performance reviews by senior managers and/or 360s from all levels of the organization.
Clegg has extensive experience in working with senior leaders and middle managers of multi-national corporations in helping them develop, monitor and improve their performance.
